If you want to work at a company that gives freedom and responsibility to its employees, strives to produce world-beating work and is driven by a mission to help the wider world then read on.
Here’s what you need to know about working at SEO Travel and how to prepare for the application process.
The Story So Far
We’re proud of what we’ve achieved in our first 10 years, and we’ve got big plans for the next 10.
What started as a lifestyle choice for our founder has turned into an industry leading and norm-challenging place to work. For the first 5 years Tom ran the business whilst living nomadically before starting to grow the team to the ten people who now deliver the best marketing out there for travel businesses.
We’ve grown from just offering SEO to incorporating PR, web design, email marketing, social media and continuing to explore how we can enhance the service we offer clients. These changes are often driven by requests from people who love our work and want more of it.
It’s now become something where we’re spreading our wings beyond purely client work, and using the skills of the team to create projects of our own. The realms of possibility hold no bounds, and the team is being encouraged to think big, think different and create a place to work like no other.
Mission
To celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we changed our business model radically to give away all our profit to educational charities helping children both around the world and on our doorstep.
We want our work to make a positive impact on the world, and this is the starting point, with the goal of giving away £1million over the next 10 years.
We believe this will not only help people who really need it, but also help drive the growth of the business and allow us to offer an even better service and a more rewarding working experience for everyone on the team.

How We Work
We believe in freedom and responsibility. The team choose the projects they want to be involved in and manage their own time to deliver work that we’re all proud of. We don’t believe in hierarchy, we believe that everyone in the business should have a say in how we develop. They’re the one it impacts most right?
We see ourselves as an adaptive organisation that allows its employees to drive the direction we take and then iterate and test different approaches to see what works.
Of course, the outcomes have to align with our goals and values, but everyone has the opportunity to drive change and development no matter their age, experience, skills or role.
When asked how likely they would be to recommend working here to a stranger, the average response from our employees was above 9/10.
Our clients rate their experience with us above a 9/10 on average each month.
We love and value the people we work with.
Hiring Process
Step 1
Applications
Send us a CV, Cover Letter and Portfolio showing why you’d be a great addition to the team. Feel free to do something interesting to catch our attention (it works!)
Step 2
Group Interview
We invite the selected candidates to join us for an informal interview with the whole SEO Travel team. There’ll be some fun background from us and the chance to meet everyone here individually to see if this feels like the right place for you to work. No scary tasks, no ‘who shouts the loudest wins’ that you might have heard about elsewhere, just good old fashioned chinwags so we can all get to know each other better!
Step 3
121 Interview with Tom
It’s hard to avoid the usual formalities, but by this stage we should all know each other a bit better and this gives us both the opportunity to dig into the detail of the role and your skills and experience. Depending on the role, this may also involve a task to give you the chance to strut your stuff.
